October 1st seemed as good a time as any to follow up with Aleksandra the Ear-maker, who I’d last heard from on September 5th. Two days later she replied thusly:

I’m good, and how are you? Hehe, me either! I have a furry convention I’ll be selling at on the weekend of the 20th so I am going nuts with prep!

The wig is styled, the tail is sewn up(I’ll be wiring and stuffing it tonight ^^. I need to cut ears & ear insides still. What color would you like for the ear insides…the illustrations show pale, but I’m not sure since it could be any of the following, but it’s still up to you(I could make them sky blue or pale yellow, for instance) . I can do: white, pink, peachy-natural tone, tan, or another color of your suggestion.

Thanks for contacting me, I keep forgetting to ask what color you want for the ears, hehe!

I just spent almost two hours transcribing the latest chapter of Doubtful Family Planning. Guess what? FOUR MEASLY PAGES. And it’s mostly the bratty younger brother doing the talking. To portray his otherworldliness, Dr. Ten makes all of his dialogue in hiragana. What this means is: it’s easy to *read* but it’s bloody hard to separate the words. Comprehension is near zero at the moment. I think the bratty younger brother is saying that he’s come to earth in order to get cake, but I can’t be sure. He also says “wa” all over the place, indicating feminine speech. *sigh*

Ah, well. This is why they pay me the big bucks, right?

I switched browers today. I just did some new auto-updates for IE7 the other day and ever since then it crashes if I have more than one tab open. It’s bloody infuriating so, IE7? *middle finger* Helloooooo Firefox!! So far, so good. I just miss my mazillion bookmarks. Ah, well. ^_^

I checked the usual haunts and everything looks fine. More importantly, I had five tabs open at once, plus last.fm and still no crashage. YAY.

I saw this woman in the artiste’s room at Otakon, working a table full of furry earses and tail. I tried to ask her about custom work for my Konome costume as I was being dragged away by my asshole former friend, and she gave me her card. I finally got around to emailing her tonight. *confetti* If she doesn’t run off screaming at the very mention of Dr. Ten, I think I should be okay.

I was also flipping through Koisuru Oresama tonight in search of a relatively modest costume to adapt. Yeah, like I’m going to wear Konome’s fetish onesie in public! However, when the demons do wear clothes, they rock the Arabian Nights look (harem pants and long flowy tops), as shall I. Heh.

This was on Defamer. They were trying to lighten up the mood in the midst of Owen Wilson Apocalypse by posting a picture of a cheeky naked Brit dressed up as a leopard.
